Schouten Island is a beautifully scenic location that has remained relatively untouched by humans. Granite cliffs fall away to sparkling turquoise waters and hidden sandy beaches. Eucalypts and Casuarina trees cover the sloping peaks of Mt Storey, Mt Deadalus and Bear Hill. Sea birds nest in the cave-riddled cliffs and penguin colonies waddle across the beaches.
Schouten Island is a haven of endemic wildlife and a wonderful sight to behold. These images capture the rugged wilderness of Schouten Island and showcase its extraordinary beauty.
